An investment group led by chemical industry veterans William Fidler and Eric Egan is pleased to announce the acquisition of Americhem Sales Corporation, solvents, oils, and lubricants distributor located in Mason, Michigan, formerly owned and operated by the 2010 NACD Distributor of the year Mr. Bruce Whetter.

For decades, Americhem, under Bruce's leadership, has serviced Michigan and the Midwest from a state-of-the-art facility with over one million gallons of chemical storage. Americhem has been recognized for its exceptional commitment to the Code of Responsible Distribution and was awarded the first-ever Responsible Distribution Excellence Award In 2006.

 

Americhem Sales will be led by new President, Mr. Eric Egan, who brings over 15 years of experience in sales, logistics, service, and management in chemicals distribution.

​According to Whetter, "Since taking ownership of this business over 20 years ago, my team and I have worked diligently to create a culture of operational excellence and industry-leading standards. While I will miss our dedicated employees, I'm excited about their future under the ownership of Bill Fidler and Eric Egan."

Fidler, the 2013 NACD Distributor of the year, commented, "I've known Bruce Whetter for 20 years and have admired his professional, passionate and dedicated approach to chemical distribution in general and Americhem specifically. He has established a standard for all NACD members to follow. We are pleased to continue to expand the organization under the leadership of Eric Egan, an experienced and talented executive."

Terms of the deal which closed on December 21, 2018, are undisclosed.
